Summer Vacation for Schools under West Bengal

Due to cyclonic Storm Fani and extreme Hot weather conditions in West Bengal, School Education Department has been decided that classes will remain closed for Summer Vacation from 3rd May, 2019 to 30th June, 2019.

SED, West Bengal has been reviewed and it has been decided regarding Summer Vacation that the schools will remain closed up to 08.06.2019 and will open 10.06.2019.

Considering the changed Weather conditions (আবহাওয়ার অবস্থা), the Memo No 60(3)-COMM/SE/S/10M-46/2019 dated 3rd May, 2019 issued by School Education Department (SED), Government of West Bengal has been reviewed and it has been decided that the schools will remain closed up to 08.06.2019 and will open 10.06.2019.

You are therefore requested to advise all schools under your respective (সম্পর্কিত) control accordingly. You are also requested to recommended (প্রস্তাবিত) similar action to all un-aided schools under your control.

In compliance with the order of the Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Government of West Bengal, vide Memo No 72(3)/COMM/SE/S/10M-46/2019 dated 30.05.2019 and in modification of Board's previous notification No 74/Pres/19 dated 03.05.2019, it has been decided that the all Government / Government Sponsored / Non-Government aided and unaided schools of this State will remain closed up to 08.06.2019 and will open on 10.06.2019.

The school authorities (স্কুল কর্তৃপক্ষ) are advised to comply with the order accordingly.

Suspension (স্থগিত) of Classes due to heat wave and cyclonic Storm

Due to predicted severe cyclonic Storm Foni (ফনি) likely to hit coastal areas of West Bengal and extreme Hot weather conditions prevailing in the State it has been decided that classes will remain suspended in all Government, Government Sponsored and Non-Government aided schools (Primary to Higher Secondary) from 3rd May, 2019 to 30th June, 2019.

You are requested to advice all schools under respective control accordingly. You are also requested to recommended similar action to un-aided schools under your control.

In compliance with the order of the Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Government of West Bengal, vide Memo No 58-COMM/SE/S/10M-46/2019 dated 02.05.2019, this is notified that due to predicted severe Cyclonic storm Foni likely to hit coastal areas and Extreme Hot weather conditions prevailing in the State the classes of all recognized secondary Schools (Government, Government Sponsored and Non-Government aided) of this State will remain suspended from 3rd May, 2019 to 30th June, 2019, The School authorities are advised to comply with the order accordingly.
