Reduction in Syllabus for Higher Secondary Examination 2021
During closure of educational institutions due to COVID-19 pandemic, as directed by Hon'ble MC, S.E.D Government of West Bengal, the Council has discarded up to 35% of the Annual Examination (class-XI) and Higher Secondary (class-XII) syllabus in all the subject for Higher Secondary (H.S) Examination 2021.
Reduction in Syllabus of class-XI Annual Examination 2021

As directed by Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge, School Education Department (S.E.D), Government of West Bengal, the Council has discarded 30-35% of the class-XII syllabus in all the subject for Higher Secondary Examination 2021, Like 30-35% of the syllabus has been discarded in all the subjects for class-XI Annual Examination 2021.
Please note that, there will be no reduction in the syllabus of those subjects in which the total allotted marks in the theory paper is less than or equal 60 namely Health and Physical Education, Music, Visual Arts and the Vocational subjects.
You are requested to refer to that list of subject-wise discarded topics being upload as enclosure to this notification, Discarded portions of rest of the subjects of class-XI will be upload very shortly.

As directed by Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge, School Education Department (S.E.D), Government of West Bengal, the Council has discarded 30-35% of the Higher Secondary (H.S) syllabus in all the subject for Higher Secondary (H.S) Examination 2021.
Moreover, it is being notified that questions being set on various subject for Higher Secondary (H.S) Examination 2021 will exclude those topics on which question were already set in Higher Secondary (H.S) Examination 2020. Please note that, there will be no reduction in the syllabus of those subjects in which the total allotted marks in the theory paper is less than or equal to 60.
You are requested to refer to the list of subject-wise discarded topics being upload as enclosure to this notification, Discarded portions of Telugu, Nepali-B and Anthropology, Gujrati will be upload very shortly.
